Janet is a RYTT 500+ hours and has been sharing the practice of yoga with students all over the world since late 2015. She started her journey studying Ashtanga Yoga in Cape Town South Africa and since her path has led her to explore a variety of styles of Yoga including Yin, Vinyasa, and Forest Yoga. Janet’s classes are a blend of strength and flexibility with an emphasis on fun and lightheartedness.
Yoga for me is a community. A place where I feel safe to let go and check in with me. It’s a way of life, not just something I teach. At home, my practice includes mediation, studying philosophy, Ayurveda chakra balancing practices, and more. I am always happy to share my knowledge of Yoga, all 8 limbs and welcome any questions and conversations that come my way.
Lastly, You may not hear Janet close her class with Namaste, for her, it feels more authentic to close with an OM (a vibrational connection) and the word shanti repeated 3x. shanti means peace in Sanskrit and repeated 3 times means peace for one’s self, peace for you, and peace for all things.
